East Rochester School Community,

This notice is to inform you that the Monroe County Health Department has notified the district that an employee in the district has tested positive for COVID-19. The Monroe County Health Department informed the district it has been determined there were no potential transmittable incidents requiring further attention at this time. Any individual who may have been required to isolate or quarantine has already been contacted. The employee was last inside ER schools on October 20, 2020.

The health and safety of our East Rochester school community is our top priority. The district will continue to follow protocols and directives from the New York State Departments of Health and Education, along with the Monroe County Health Department.

We would like to reinforce the importance of wearing masks, social distancing and washing hands to minimize the risk of spread and exposure both on and off campus. We would also encourage staff, students and families to consider receiving a flu shot this fall, to prevent further cases of illness, impacting teaching and learning. A list of pharmacies in our area can be found on our website, here. The Monroe County Health Department recommends everyone 6 months of age and older should be vaccinated. We appreciate your continued efforts to continue to reduce the instances of positive cases here at ER.

Respectfully,
