United Way 21 Day Racial Equity Challenge

East Rochester Community,

Thank you to all those who participated in the United Way 21 Day Racial Equity Challenge. The United Way had 110,000 people participate, including 470 organizations and 50 community partners.

This challenge helped shine a light on the significance of being anti-racist while being socially and culturally responsive in our professional and personal lives and to be aware of the impact on our students. It raised questions that I, myself, spent a good deal of time reflecting on and considering how to be cognizant of this information as we move forward as a district.

Although the challenge has ended, I encourage those who participated to consider joining me for the Challenge Wrap Up event on December 3, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. The event is being held virtually. You can RSVP for the event, here and can contact the United Way at contactus@uwrochester.org with any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Jim Haugh
