ER Discusses Gala Safety

ER Discusses Gala Safety
Posted on 05/15/2024
Thank you to everyone who made ER's Gala a success! ER students had a great time at our recent celebration!
Prior to the event, our 11th and 12th grade students participated in activities presented by the Stop-DWI team from Monroe County on DWI prevention. They gave hands-on examples of the dangers of driving under the influence and distracted driving. The week concluded with a staged DWI crash. These activities and presentations are to inform and educate students, and open the discussion on making smart decisions. Thank you to our Prevention Counselor Margo Chilelli for coordinating these important events.
We are proud of the safety efforts our team at East Rochester Union Free School District created to remind our students for special events to (most importantly) have fun but to make smart choices. WROC talked to ER's Principal Alicia Shippy and Director of Facilities Dan Friday last week on these initiatives.
