In-person Instruction

In an in-person model, instruction and learning experiences take place inside the walls of the school classroom with face-to-face interaction between students and teachers.

A cohort of students is defined as a pre-assigned group of students of limited size. In response to CDC guidelines regarding proper social distancing of six feet, the schools will establish student cohorts to prevent intermingling of students between cohorts to the extent possible. Students in cohort groups will wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. To the extent possible, students will remain in small cohorts if/when leaving the classroom, such as for recess or any necessary transition, so as to reduce their exposure to additional students.

We will minimize the movement of students. This potentially means eliminating assemblies, field trips and other large-group activities. Special-area subjects (e.g., art, music, physical education) may be pushed into the classroom. Whenever possible, students will utilize outside space for physical education instruction. We will adhere to 12 feet between students when engaging in physical activity.
