The Capital Improvement Project final preparation is well underway (bids in February groundbreaking items other than playground will be this summer) with several exciting improvements benefiting our student programs, safety and security measures and facilities updates/replacements. 

Student Programs

One of the major projects is the renovation of the indoor pool, which includes upgrades to the HVAC system, improvements to mechanical and drainage systems, enhanced lighting, and the installation of new pool equipment.

In addition to the pool renovation, Phase 2 of the playground development is also moving forward. This phase aims to enhance the older elementary student’s play area with new equipment and interactive play-based features.

ER’s Athletic Field will see the replacement of the stadium goal posts to ensure it meets current code compliance standards.

Safety and Security

A new PA system, phone system, and campus notification system will help standardize communication across the campus, ensuring that everyone remains informed and safe. A rescue window will also be added at the single point of entry to further enhance security and emergency preparedness. Additionally, East Rochester Union Free School District is working on various code compliances and accessibility upgrades to ensure that all of our facilities meet required accessibility standards.

Facilities Updates/Replacements

ER Schools have various upcoming facility replacements planned. This includes a roof replacement and updates to the high school gym which will receive HVAC and lighting upgrades. The high school auditorium will see improvements to its HVAC system and stage finishes.
